2025 Matt Orth Memorial Golf Tournament

Team of 4. Best ball format. Registration at11:00 AM Shotgun start at 1:00 PM Hole contests. Raffle baskets. Big item large auction.

2025 and beyond...each year we consider the value and meaning of this event to the loyal crew that devotes days, sweat and energy to the cause. We cherish each year as though there may not be another. As long as we have a sign-up, the fun continues...thank you for supporting us.

Come enjoy a round of golf with friends and family honoring Matt's legacy. This day is about coming together and having a great time. Show off your values of good sportsmanship, honesty, and professionalism or just enjoy pretending to play a game Matt loved.

You are guaranteed a good time and good food. After your round of golf; stay and enjoy a presentation of winners: Men's team, Women's team, Best Dressed Team, raffle basket drawings and infamous live auction.

We have supported Matt's alma mater, Lawrence University with an endowed named scholarship in his honor. The Matthew M. Orth Memorial Scholarship had reached its 100K endowed scholarship in 2022. Each year a $5,000 scholarship is given to a Minnesotan student in honor of Matt.

2023 and onward, the majority of proceeds from the tournament support CentraCare Suicide Prevention Program in honor of Matt’s older brother, Travis. Unfortunately, in Janurary of 2019 Travis ended his life without warning or reason known to us. We hope the two boys are happily playing golf together. We miss them both!

A bit more about Matt:

Born Feburary 16th, 1984 to Scott and RoxAnne Orth

Died September 9th, 2012 while playing hockey, another game he loved dearly.

His death is a mystery, we do not know why but he lives on in the hearts of all those who attend his memorial tournaments (MOMGTs).
