Course Information
Skokie Country Club
Built on a relatively flat property, Skokie Country Club makes the most of its land. The course is originally designed by Donald Ross before Lanford & Moreau put their own twist on the property. The resulting blend of architectural styles makes for one of the most unique designs in Chicagoland. And one of the best.
Key to Skokie's interest is its set of green complexes. Both Ross and Langford/Moreau were known for creating interest in their putting surfaces and their brilliance shines through at Skokie. The greens are diverse yet cohesive and the course's bunkering makes each approach a thought-provoking one. Skokie also takes pride in presenting a firm, strategic test of golf, making it a must-see for any golf architecture fan.
Travel Information
AIRPORTS - Either Chicago airport will serve you well in traveling to Skokie but O'Hare is much easier to access. O'Hare (ORD) is about 30 minutes from Skokie while Midway (MDW) is a little over an hour.
HOTELS - The Renaissance Chicago North Shore and Sheraton Northbrook are the closest to Skokie but there are many other options as well. Downtown Chicago is just 30 minutes away (depending on traffic) as well if you'd like to commute up for the event.
